Mona teaches social and competitive dance and participates in Pro/Am, instructor/student, dance competitions. Mona began dancing as a child and started teaching dance to children and adults while she was in college. After graduating, Mona worked as an Electrical Engineer. She also continued to teach dance and train in Country, Ballroom. and Swing Dance.

Mona is the first ever UCWDC competitor to achieve both Master status in Couples Country Dance and Superstar status in Country Line Dance, which are the highest levels in those competitions. UCWDC, United Country Western Dance Council, is the largest circuit for competitive Country Dance and Line Dance in the world. Mona is an independent dance instructor, and she gives lessons at Fatcat Ballroom.
